“Rainbow in Cyprus” information

About Us:
• Charitable Foundation "RADUGA in Cyprus" is unique. The symbol of our foundation is a rainbow - a multi-colored palette, the light of the manifestation of individualities uniting into a single beautiful phenomenon.
• Our mission is to create a social environment of acceptance, kindness, mutual assistance, care for nature and children - our bridge to the future. Our priority is to provide social integration and education of children with special needs.

Our projects:
• We organize holidays by the sea for children from difference countries who have disabilities or severe and palliative diseases. This helps them in their faster recovery and fills them with positive emotions, so they can easier fight the disease after hard hospital days.
• At the end of the holidays, each child plants a tree, making Cyprus a greener island. Our plan is to create a Rainbow Park planted by our children.
• We have already planted 6 trees near the church in Tala, not far from the trees of St.Neophyte, which are protected by UNESCO.
• As part of the educational project we held a number of activities, trips and master classes supported by the communities of volunteer teachers.
• During the hikes, children discover the legends and history of Cyprus, and learn about its plants and animals.
• At scientific and culinary master classes, children learn how to cook delicious breakfasts, conduct experiments, study density of water and many other interesting and education things.
Our plans:
• Project under development : "FISHMOB" studio by Katerina Fukar Bronze Brothers, Arsenty Lysenkov and "RADUGA in Cyprus". It will combine creativity, ecology and kindness!
• The idea of the project is to connect the whole world and use creativity and art to help nature and support the ecology, develop the idea of charity. A part of the raised funds will be directed to children.
• In January 2023, we plan to visit Africa on a mission to the Majengo children orphanage school, (Arusha, Tanzania) At the moment it hosts 70 children.
• Due to the pandemic, financial and volunteer assistance has been significantly reduced and these children may be left without food and shelter.
• Conducting seminars for children and teenagers together with School of “Happy Horses Alogo”.
• "Know yourself through dialogues with Nature“, "Learning leadership from horses".
• "Happy horses and free people", "Dancing with horses", developing body language, removing muscle clamps.
Our dreams:
• Our biggest dream is to build a "RADUGA House" where we could host children coming for vacations.
• RADUGA House will be a creative space uniting together a team of teachers, psychologists, craftsmen who are ready to share their resources and knowledge.
• We are also hoping to create an online school and develop training programs jointly with the companies and employers that will help to prepare and integrate children with special needs into the safe business workspaces.
Anastasia was born at 33 weeks with congenital intestinal obstruction (intestinal volvulus). Not having time to admiring her, the doctors took her to an urgent operation, to remove part of the intestine (20 cm), then resuscitation, and then the struggle for life began, the child suffered peritonitis, sepsis, pneumonia and much more. She spent two months in intensive care, then another month in the pathology of newborns. During this period, Nastya was 1kg 700g, weakened, emaciated, with poor analyzes, she did not have a chance for recovery, the doctors said that she would not survive.
However, everything passed, the girls survived and was taken home. Half a year later, doctors diagnosed an anomaly in the development of the brain. It was the most terrible news. Life turned upside down. But we pulled ourselves together and realized that only we can help her, deep examinations began, at the age of 1 she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. We didn’t give up and took her to various procedures (exercise therapy, massage, acupuncture, horseback riding, a swimming pool, vibromassage, dolphin therapy.
In complex regular treatment, Anastasia learned to sit at 2.5 years old, at 3 years old to crawl in a plastonian way, then on all fours, to stand a little at supports against the wall. Every success we were rejoiced with tears. Now she is 13 years old, but unfortunately she isn’t able to walk on her own, only with support. She is a very kind, smiling girl who dreams of being able to walk.
Money raised at our event will go towards bringing Anastasia and her family to Cyprus during the cold winter time, to give them some joy and hope. They live in Odessa, Ukraine, currently without electricity and heat due to frequent bombardment.
