POLICE CYCLING FOR CHILDREN IN NEED
The Sovereign Base Areas Police (SBA) in co-operation with the Cyprus Police are organising a two-day charity cycling event that will take place on the 29th and 30th October 2021. The purpose of the event is to raise money for children with serious illnesses, and the donations will be given to “the Anticancer Society”, “One Dream, One Wish” Association and the “Little Heroes” Association.
The event is under the auspices of the First Lady of the Republic of Cyprus Mrs Andri Anastasiades and the Administrator of the Sovereign Base Areas Maj Gen Rob Thomson.
The cycling groups will pass through various districts of the Republic of Cyprus and within the Sovereign Base Areas, whereby they will be welcomed and hosted by municipalities/communities along the way. The cycling event will conclude at “Eleftherias” square in Nicosia at about 1700hrs, where a closing ceremony will be organised by Nicosia municipality authorities.
On Friday 29th October, the cycling group will end their charity tour at Aphrodite Hills Resort, Village Square at 13:50. A donation handover ceremony will take place.
